One Indian changed a tyre. Denis used his second motor & fixed his first which he later used. Had some photos for us to look at. One was of a Postie bike with two up & all their gear crossing the Nullarbor too. They averaged 70-80Kms an hour & the Postie must have been doing the same. 37 cars & bikes started but 30 finished.

Technical:                       We had a piston with a Gudgeon pin problem – a bush was made. Setting up a side car. Richard Stock said that Phil Irving wrote a good book about this problem. Allan said some books are talking about English roads & that they have more camber than we do so it comes to try & test mostly.

Library:                            2 books have been bought. One on Ducati history & the other on Scott history.

Regalia:                            Marie is away so if you want regalia see or phone Merle Graham.

Public Relations Officer:            No parking on the grass – principal’s request. Tortoise run on Saturday, go to find out where to. Wires are having another Show Day later in the year. Ted told them it was expensive. If you want to go to Wings over Illawarra for the static display you can use your road registered machine too. Who is going to Wallerawang? Sydney is having a run to Rylston at the beginning to June. Ted has sold some bikes from AMC corner. Red Scarf rally saw 7 riders from our club. Very good rally. Mick Johnston was featured in the Hog Magazine re the 800 km ride he did on his Old original 1923 Harley. Told a Joke.

Events:                             6 – 8 went on the Tortoise run but the weather was not good. Sunday about a dozen went but again the weather was not very good. Jim told us about the coming rides which are all in the Clatter.

Mid Week Run.  No rain. Went to a bike shop at Robertson & then had pies. 14 bikes with 7 on Club Plates. May going to Thirlmere for lunch.

Show Day.                       23rd September 2012.

Illawarra Rally:               18th & 19th August 2012.

Rallies:                              Red Scarf Rally was very and the food was great. Andrew Weaving got all around the rally. Great to see. Saturday’s run was 300 km’s & Sunday about half that. About 70 entries.

Sydney run to Mt Victoria was quite a good run and a good amount of bikes.

Social night was good. About 20 went and a number won meat raffles.

Wings. Be there from 9.30 to 9am. Come through the main gate. Our club will pay the fee. You can ride in the circle while a commentary is made. Bring your older bikes as that is what the public like to see.

General Business:       Perth to Sydney ride. Denis and Robert Tobler brought in some pictures. The postie bike is interesting.

Raffle:                               Terry Fitzpatrick, Mick Mellin, Lester Hamilton and Kevin Brown.

Programme Officer:     Alex bought his 1947 B.S.A. 250cc 39 years ago for $10 from Berry. It was partially buried in rubbish in the back yard. It had been pulled apart a bike so things were missing. Water was in the tanks, but the oil tank survived because it still had oil in it. A number of people helped Alex along the way. He named each one and thanked them for there help even though he was not a member of the club at the time. Thank you Alex.
